The Katsu Cutlet House
Happy Details
Who doesn't enjoy a good fried food dinner every once in a while? But with so many subpar options out there it’s a huge treat when we find a place that puts the fresh into fried like The Langley Katsu Cutlet House.
Katsu has always been a favorite in our house, but Langley Katsu takes breaded meat to a new level. The panko is made in house and they only use the freshest ingredients. We loved the options: pork, chicken, fish, prawn or cheese. Yes, cheese!

E and Q could have easily shared one meal between themselves, but we splurged and all got our own meals plus added a fifth! We couldn't resist the intrigue of the cheese katsu... only one order per table... how could we say no? It was all delicious! We’ll be back to try the pizza version…a story for another day.
The portion sizes are very large, beautifully presented, and priced right. The pork katsu platter is only $12.50 and includes the cutlet, salad, soup, dipping sauce and pickle. Q especially enjoyed the soup, so much so that our server noticed and brought him an extra bowl. So nice!

Although they don’t offer a Kid’s menu, this place is still kid friendly. The restaurant vibe is very welcoming and the open space and high chairs make it easy to accommodate families of all sizes. The food comes out fast, hot and crispy. A huge plus if you’re looking to have a quick but quality family meal. E and Q appreciated the short wait time because (of course) they were STARVING.
We enjoyed a beer with our meal (they have a small selection of beer and wine), but had a bit of an accident with a spilled water glass by Mr. Q. Accidents happen. The water glasses are a little on the large size for our kids, so next time I’ll bring along a couple of water bottles to avoid a future tsunami.
We hope you and your family enjoy The Langley Katsu as much as we did. If you try the kimchi cheese hotpot please let us know! That is next on the list.
